Loft Conversions in London

We are the specialists in turning your spare loft space into a living new space in your home.

With years of experience, we have transformed several lofts in the London and South East Area into anything from bedrooms for children, to rooms you can rent with sites such as AirBnB. We make sure to provide the best service possible!

We have also turned disused loft spaces into games rooms and even home cinemas! We do not just empty out your lofts and refurbish it, but we also rebuild them to suit your needs and any requirements you have. If you have any potential ideas for your loft, we also encourage you to bring them to us and we would love to listen!

There are multiple different loft conversion options, such as mansard loft conversions, dormer loft conversions and hip to gable loft conversions.

Mansard is the largest type of conversion. You would be able to create an entire living-space using this type of renovation.

Dormer conversions can provide homeowners with an extension that is suitable for an additional room or two.

Hip to gable loft conversions are the smallest loft conversions and require the least amount of construction work and labour

There is also a lot of versatility with dormer loft conversions, such as the ability to maximise the space within your loft by simultaneously using a hip to gable loft conversion along with the extension.

Loft Conversion Timescales

A standard loft conversion can usually take anywhere from 8-12 weeks, to ensure it is done in a professional and efficient manner.

This usually depends on the size of the space, what kind of room you would like to turn the loft into, and any other possibilities such as furnishings.

Also, any pre-existing property damage that was unknown to a homeowner can cause potential delays.

However, the timeline is something we will constantly keep in contact with you about while the loft is under construction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some frequently asked questions regarding our loft conversion service, if you have any further questions feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help.

Is planning permission needed for a loft conversion?

Planning permission is not usually necessary for most jobs we receive. But with some, it can be necessary. This is needed mainly if you plan to exceed your roofing space within the property past a specified limit. This is something that we will discuss with you in order to learn your aims, and whether or not we will need to apply for any planning permission before we undergo the project.

How do I know if my loft can be converted?

There usually isn’t any problem with converting the space at the top of your house. But consider the size of it and whether it is big enough to become an extra room, or if in fact is big enough to remain as storage space AND an extra room. There is a lot of possibilities!

We certainly do not recommend it as a DIY project! A job most definitely for our loft conversion professionals.

How much does a loft conversion cost?

There are many different factors that may affect the overall cost for the loft conversion that you are considering, such as the additions and fixtures that you would like to include. The overall labour hours and the raw material costs that are necessary for your project are also significant factors when pricing a loft conversion project. We would recommend inviting us round to take a look and talking through your requirements. Remember, a loft conversion can significantly increase the overall price for your property, so it is a job well worth doing properly.
